Specification
Φ67mm(2.64″) Outer Diameter
14mm(0.55″) Height
40mm Diameter Rigid pipe Structure
Maximum 5V-3A
Infinite rotation
Stainless steel Center Thread Shaft(3/8-16 UNC)
Gold plated slip ring for long life
USB-PD/USB3(5V) input
Temperature range from -25°C to 50°C(-13°F ~ 185°F)
Magnet plug for Double Redundancy
For telescope with 1/4″ thread
The Center Thread Shaft is 3/8″-3/8″ and not available for the telescopes with 1/4″ thread. However, the Center Thread Shaft(16mm diameter, 13mm height) is compatible with typical camera thread adapters that are widely available in market. For the smart telescope with 1/4” thread, you can use 3/8”-1/4 adapter with the same size.

Story behind the development
When the Seestar app introduced its “remote access” feature, I started thinking seriously about setting up my Seestar at a remote site. I knew the app already had an anti-cable tangling feature, but I still wanted to use a slip ring — because the Seestar can rotate at least two full turns via joystick, and I wanted a more robust solution.
My first prototype used a conventional slip ring, but it turned out to be too large and too expensive. The center shaft was thin and long, which shifted the center of gravity significantly and introduced unwanted instability.
What I really wanted was a low-profile, wide, and rigid base structure that would minimize vibration. Building a one-off just for myself would be costly — but manufacturing in volume brings the unit cost down. So I decided to share the design with anyone looking for the same solution.
